DRESSMAKING CLASSES

Ready to get started with your first dressmaking project? Spring is a great time to update your wardrobe and we have prepared two great classes for your to learn and make your own clothes.

Aimed at absolute beginners, our Make a skirt class will get you started with knowledge of how to use the sewing machine, stitches and seams and then you will be taught how to layout, cut and follow a commercial pattern, as well as basic sewing techniques like darts, seam finishing, installing a zipper and how to hand stitch a quality finished item. The skirt is a simple garment and an ideal project to start sewing with. Choose from making A-line skirt or a pencil skirt.

If you would like to improve your dressmaking sewing skills, the Make a fab dress class is the right class for you as it includes all the required sewing skills to go from beginner to intermediate, with professional looking results. You will learn how to follow a commercial pattern, properly layout and cut fabrics, stitch darts, install a zipper and other garment creation tips.

The best thing about these classes: that you can take the patterns with you and build a whole new wardrobe!
