Which is exactly why you know that there may be more to it ..

  • You suffer from lack of time, resources & inspiration syndrome and you do not know what to do next.
  • You keep buying courses, attending workshops and joining Facebook groups but still have a large bag of unfinished projects and no plan.
  • You may know what your business needs but are not sure how to get there.
  • You are frustrated with the amount of information online and struggling to stay focused on what you really need.
  • You wonder if your side business is just an expensive hobby.
  • You are not sure about your style, if people will like your products or how to create a brand that is You.
  • Or you just scared of jumping to the unknown and starting your own creative business.

Panic not. I have been there and many times, still are.

It can be lonely & stressful. It makes you give up, you only wanted to spend more time with your children!

But here the good news ..

It's time to get clarity and focus on what you would like to achieve.

Spend time doing work that you really enjoy, being creative, teaching, designing, making & inspiring others.

Create a business that works for you, around your current job, your family or social commitments.

By working for you, I mean ..

You are confident in your products and services, how to price them and where to sell them.

You have a plan to show them to the world, whether it is through a new website or social media.

You get more sales, yay!

You have a place where you can ask all the questions, no more analysis paralysis.

Melody Needle & Craft

My ideas have become a real thing! I have 5 sewing clients booked, a shiny new website and an ever growing social media presence. It is very early days still but I am really happy with the direction it is going! The membership has helped in so many ways from having someone to bounce everything off, to practical help like tutorials on how to set things up on my website.

Abby Mr Fox Crafty Creations

Absolutely brilliant class!! Learnt so much and already booked onto the next sewing course. Inma is a fabulous teacher, easy to understand and keeps it simple for tired mums trying to learn a new skill! Looking forward to the next course.

Inma has nudged me my off my comfort zone seat and onto a steady flow of course notes, Monday Challenges, Thursday Online discussion groups and mentoring that is perfect for a flexitime employee and single mum of 2 young children.

I thought I would get some ideas, possibly learn how to actually do some upcycling and then in my own time get things going, that’s not what has happened. I have been so inspired by Inma and her achievements, I have felt compelled to drive and push myself a little more and take on the Monday challenges and now I have the business I dreamed of only a few months ago.

Thank you Inma for a wonderful evening of Autentico chalk painting! I came away with two transformed picture frames and feeling really inspired to use my new skills on future projects. The studio is a great place to learn and I would definitely recommend this course to others!

Sam Intro to Furniture painting

I just wanted to send you a message to say a huge thank you for the amazing course this week. As a teacher myself, I know how hard it can be to communicate skills to learners clearly. And you did! I have not stopped sewing since the course ended and cannot wait to come back in September for my next classes (x2!)Everything from the delicious cakes, the uber cool workspace, the way you served up coffee just when I was flagging, and most of all, the warmth and welcome I felt being there. So here's to your really fabulous crafting club and its much deserved success. See you in the autumn!
Bring it on!

And I am here to help you create a better business so you can focus on the creative stuff,  grow your income and work around your family, life commitments or full time job.

I set up The Old School Club in 2011, I have just had my first baby and I didn't want to go back to work in IT in the corporate world. I set up a sewing studio at home and since then it has grown to a successful business. I teach a wide range of creative skills to (mostly!) women, in sewing, upcycling, modern upholstery and furniture painting. It is an inviting, lively & social creative hub.

At the many classes I have taught during the past few years, I realised that most of my students would like to set up their own creative business, on the side or full time. I love helping people with ideas, tips, what has worked for me and what hasn't. So I started this site, Teach Craft Revolution, to share information about my business.

I won't lie. Starting my own business was one of the most difficult things I have done in my life. When there is no money to pay for others to help you, you have to do everything. I have created my (three) websites, I prepare the marketing plans, I run Facebook adverts & send monthly newsletters. I plan the classes, the required materials & the tutorials. I run my own accounts and do my bookkeeping. And above all, I manage my business so it grows year after year. I make big plans.

I hope to see you on the other side!
