New sewing class: Zakka style

We are having a fantastic new class at The Old School Club. Amanda McGillen will be teaching how to sew a Zakka style project. Zakka is a Japanese term that means “many things” and it is used for modern projects using patchwork, applique, embroidery, lace, natural linens and beautiful prints.

You will probably know this term from Rashida Coleman-Hale’s book “Zakka Style” where she gathers talented designers around the world to bring 24 delightful Zakka projects.

Amanda brings her own style to the class and will teach you how to prepare, sew and finish a zakka style project. You will be able to make a placemat or a table runner.
