As part of the Clerkenwell Design Week, we will be running a two-day upcycling workshop at Interface. Their theme for this year is to explore the positive impact of nature inspired design and well-being. On Day One, they will focus on the future design trends and the emotional wellbeing. On Day Two, they will cover how design can influence health and happiness.

I couldn’t be happier to be part of this event and to be teaching the art of upcycling in such an inspiring environment. Bring along old clothes or small household items, such as lampshades and hand held mirrors to be updated and transformed with applique details, embellishments and buttons. We will also use their fabulous carpet material to make clutch bags, totebags and pieces of clothing.

This is going to be one to be creative, inspired and challenged …

Interface is the world’s largest designer and maker of carpet tile. It is a name in the industry that stands for design and aesthetic products, as well as for sustainability. Their sense of responsibility is larger than the products they sell.
